Phew, finally finished a bunch of job assignments. The interview in the morning went smoothly, the old couple that I was translating for were very pleasant people. They just came to Toronto in July from Montreal. Having just closed their laundry store (They didn't speak any French and barely any English, it's amazing they lasted for as long as they did), they had to live off government walfare. The old lady Mrs. Tang was constantly trying to let me talk to the worker about how Jane (one of my co-workers) screwed up and delayed their money for 3 weeks, so they have no money for July, so that was a bit annoying. They reminded me of my grandparents somehow, so I was very nice to them, although I might have appeared a bit cynic as I was reactionless from their life story. Speaking of annoyance, I was going to call the office to tell them I will be eating lunch with them before I go back after the interview. There was only one payphone around, and it's the only shade from the blazing sun. But some jerk just wouldn't stop talking, even when I was standing behind him. Finally, I gave up and walked a block to another payphone, Argh! Then I was sent to measure the rooms in our Labatt office, that didn't take too long. Oh, I got 4 Jay's tickets for tomorrow, I gotta think who I want to bring with me fast. I'm thinking about Bui, LiWenJun and Vicky, since no one else I know like to watch baseball. Apperantly this UofT professor is looking for volunteers for data entry, Rebecca (my boss) is asking me if I want to participate. It's gonna be great, I can work at home, and I can make some connection to a professor before I even start attending UofT This job is looking better and better.
